HOW TO MAKE TORTELLINI WITH TOMATO SAUCE AND BASIL
Ingredients for 4 people
- 2 packages of Modena tortellini – Pasta Fresca Rossi
- 350 g of diced tomatoes
- ½ white onion
- 40 g of Parmigiano Reggiano PDO
- Salt and extra virgin olive oil, to taste
- A few fresh basil leaves
Preparation
- Let’s start by preparing the sauce. First, peel the onion, slice it, and then cut it into cubes. Sauté it with extra virgin olive oil in a pan.
- When the onion starts to turn golden, add the diced tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, add a few basil leaves, and let it cook for about twenty minutes.
- While the tomato sauce is cooking, go ahead and cook the Tortellini di Modena Pasta Fresca Rossi by following the instructions on the package
- Once ready, drain the tortellini and add them to the sauce. Mix well and serve with a handful of grated Parmigiano Reggiano and a few fresh basil leaves.
